Geneva Wedding
Geneva is a city located 36 miles west of Chicago in eastern Kane County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 19,515, and is estimated to be 23,424 as of 2005. It is the county seat of Kane County. Geneva was first settled in the 1830s by Daniel Shaw Haigh. In 1833 He built a cabin near a spring on the Fox River. In 1835, Haight sold the cabin to James and Charity Herrington and moved north. Geneva is located at 4153'9" North, 8818'42" West (41.885722, -88.311771)GR1, 36 miles west of downtown Chicago.

The racial makeup of the city is 96.50% White, 1.02% African American, 0.06% Native American, 1.25% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.58% from other races, and 0.56% from two or more races. 2.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
